Funeral services for Mr. Nick Gallos will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at 11 AM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Father Michael Monos officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be Tim Bell, Pete Haldezos, Pete Moutzouris, Sam Thomas, Andy Oswald, and Mike Caruso and are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 Tuesday, morning. The family will receive friends Monday, April 26, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home with a Trisagion Service being held at 7 PM. Nick, 42, of Aiken, SC, husband of Linda Fields Gallos, died Friday night, April 23, 2004 at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken, SC, a son of Maria Palaopoulos Gallos and the late Panto Gallos, he had retired from the family business Charlie?s Fish Market due to his health. Nick was of the Greek Orthodox faith and was a former member of the Thoroughbred Dart Association and the Aiken County Pool League. In addition to his mother Maria and his wife Linda Fields Gallos, a son, Nick Gallos, Jr., North Augusta, SC, survives. The family has asked that memorials in memory of Nick be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 953 Telfair St., Augusta, GA 30901.
