Funeral services for Mr. Chester Joseph Prawdzik, Sr. will be held on Monday, December 22, 2003 at 3:30pm at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW with Deacon Don Roseborough officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 2:00pm until the time of the service. Memorial Donations may be directed to Boys Town, Boys Town Center Boys Town, NE 68010 or St. Jude Children's Hospital 332 North Lauderdale St. Memphis, TN 38105. Mr. Prawdzik, 76, of New Ellenton, died Friday December 19, 2003 at his residence. A son of Anton and Lottie Kacmaryn Prawdzik, he was born in Summit, IL. He had also lived in Clearwater, SC before moving to New Ellenton in 1965. Mr. Prawdzik served in the U.S. Army during World War II and had been active in veteran?s organizations. In 1995, he retired as a salesman for Bubba Beck Used Car Sales, Aiken. Mr. Prawdzik is pre-deceased by two grandsons. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Foreman Prawdzik, New Ellenton, two sons; Chester Joseph Prawdzik, Jr., North Augusta and Chris R, Prawdzik, Sr., Columbia, SC, four daughters; Lottie Len Thorne, Aiken, Nena Marie Thomas, Eastover, SC, Mary Chestine Teal, Williston, SC and Victoria Ann Reese, New Ellenton, a sister; Stella Constable, Chicago, IL, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
