I grew up down the street and went to St. Marys and South Aiken with Shawn and Brian. I have nothing but good childhood memories of Shawn. My heart goes out to Brian and all of Shawn's family. I will be praying for them all.

I will never forget when I first became friends with Shawn over 16 years ago. I was new to town and after class Shawn simply reached his hand out and said, "Hi I'm Shawn." He had a way of making you feel comfortable, accepted, and an instant friend. That simple gesture began a special friendship full of adventures, ups and downs, but always, always, true friendship.
To his family I am thinking of you all. My family and I are and will always be here for all of you.

I grew up in Aiken with Shawn and Brian being at my house all the time, hanging out with my older brothers. I always looked up to Shawn and we were friends over the years. I was always thrilled to see Shawn, I just thought the world of him. Shawn was a wonderful, kind and gentle person. His smile was unforgettable. Please accept my condolences.

I close my eyes and see him, Brian and Jennifer all playing behind our inlaws home, the yards were connected and it was just a big old playground. I see them coming over to visit and play with our children. We went to church together, and we learned so much from them all. Shawn was a wonderful child, and I know he grew to be a respected man, father and friend to many. Our lives were blessed by his life, we will miss him.
