Funeral services for Mr. Louie Moore will be held Friday, February 10, 2006 at 2:00 PM at George Funeral Home, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Brad Willis and Pastor Larry Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be sons. Honorary pallbearers will be son-in-laws. Mr. Moore, 90, of Aiken, SC, died Tuesday, night, February 7, 2006 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in and a resident Walhalla, SC, until 1938, he was a son of the late Carol Jefferson and Gertrude Marie Pitts Moore. He retired from the Swint Division of Graniteville Company after thirty-four years of service as a Slasher Operator. Louie was a member and deacon at Kedron Baptist Church for over fifty years. He was a Bee Keeper, enjoyed walking but most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Jessie Mae Cox Moore, daughters, Louise Fox, Batesburg, SC, Linda Bledsoe, Doug Elloree, SC, Lunette Winburn, Tony Aiken, SC, and Lois Christensen, Ben Aiken, SC; sons, Roy Moore, Shirley Plantersville, TX, Edgar Moore, Hope Hepzibah, GA, Walter Moore, Margie Knoxville, TN, David Moore, Linda Aiken, SC, Harold ?Buddy? Moore, Linda Aiken, SC and Mike Moore, Melissa Aiken, SC; thirty grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. The family has requested that memorials be made to Kedron Baptist Church 233 Kedron Church Rd., Aiken, SC 29805.
