Memorial services for Mr. Andrew John Regets will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will recite the Divine Mercy at 10am prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904. Mr. Regets, 88, of Aiken, died Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Trinity Hospice, Augusta. Born in Riddlesburg, PA, he was the son of Joseph and Catherine Marshlek Regets. He moved to Aiken in 1995 from Crafton, PA. He retired from Minniotti Brothers Steel as a welder. He served his country in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Shopman's Local #0527 and Fort Black Memorial Association. He was certified in refrigeration. He played as center for the Broad Top High School football team. He received a full college scholarship for playing football. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of fifty six years , Helen Biro Regets in 2006, brothers, Joseph Regets, John Regets, Michael Regets, Paul Regets, and sister, Catherine Weyant. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Regets, Debra David Flurett, both of Aiken, sister, Helen Ranny, grandchildren, Orion Flurett, and Ariel Flurett.
