Graveside services for Mr. Dallas W. Poole will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 11:00 AM in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, SC with Reverend George Howle officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from 9:00-10:30 AM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mr. Poole, 85, of Aiken, SC, died Saturday, morning, December 3, 2005 at Pepperhill Nursing Center, Aiken, SC. Born Sumter County, SC, a son of the late Samuel and Mary Jennings Poole, he had been a resident of Aiken, SC since 1951 where he was a member of St. John?s United Methodist Church and was a life member of the Aiken Masonic Lodge, #156, AFM. He retired from E.I. DuPont in 1978 after twenty-seven years of service where he was a Supervisor in Traffic and Transportation. A United States Navy veteran, he proudly served his country as a Seabee during World War II. He is survived by a daughter, Vicky Poole Roberts, Tarlton W. Fairview, NC; grandson, Chris Huggins, Columbia, SC and great-grandchildren, Christian and Drew Huggins, UT; and a special friend, Lib Jones Dabney, Jackson, SC. His wife of fifty-five years, Jimmie Tarlton Poole, preceded him in death in 1997. Memorials may be made to St. John?s United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 809, Aiken, SC 29802
