Funeral services for Mrs. Malinda Moore Vigil will be private. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 2-6pm at the residence. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor New York, NY 10004. Mrs. Vigil, 60, of Aiken, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 after a long struggle with diabetes at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Fort Lee, VA, she was the daughter of Kenneth Moore and the late Carolyn Poole Moore Gregory. Malinda lived most of her life in Aiken. She was a member of Clearwater Branch Baptist Church and worked as a clerk for Automatic Switch Company ASCO for twelve years. Malinda liked to crochet, knit, bake, and work in her flower garden. She loved to spend time with friends and family. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her step-father, David Gregory, brother, Marvin Moore. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband John Vigil, son, Michael Kyleen Santomauro, Leonardtown, MD; step-mother, Patricia Moore, brothers, Clifford Margie Moore, Lewis Cathy Gregory, sisters, Rita Ray Day, Melony Carter, grandmother, Easie Carter, grandchildren, Kyle Santomauro, Gunnar Santomauro, Michael Santomauro, nieces and nephews, Tracy, Dannette, Marcy, Christopher, Bruce.
