Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Anderson Hallman will be held Tuesday, August 19,2003 at 3 PM at Redds Branch Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Reverend Jamie Rogers officiating. Mrs. Hallman will be placed in the church at 2 PM Tuesday. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, August 18, 2003 from 6-8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Hallman, 74, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late Curtis Ashley Hallman, died Saturday, morning, August 16, 2003 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center, Aiken, SC. Born in Akron, OH, and a lifelong resident of Aiken, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Brooks Anderson and Eddie Irene Griffin Anderson. She was a former member of Redds Branch Baptist and was currently a member of Couchton Baptist Church. Mrs. Hallman retired from the Graniteville Company with over twenty years of service. Sons, Curtis Wyman Hallman, and Fabian Lamar Hallman, both of Aiken, SC; daughter, Kathy Autry, Aiken, SC; sisters, Claudie Anderson Drake, Aiken, SC, Lillian Anderson Toole, Martinez, GA, Iris Jean Anderson Jordan, Pickens, SC, and Carolyn Anderson Bazzle, Aiken, SC; brothers, Reverend Tom Anderson and Reverend John Anderson, both of Dothan, AL; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, survive. In addition to her husband and parents,brothers, Gib and James Anderson, sister, Gladys Anderson Bearden, and grandparents, Gibson ?Gib? and Frances ?Fannie? Bodie Anderson, preceded Mrs. Hallman in death. The family had asked that memorials in memory of Mrs. Hallman be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, c/o The Council on Aging, P.O. Box 3156, Aiken, SC 29802.
