Funeral Services for Mr. Douglas Carlton Hodges, Sr. will be held on Wednesday December 27, 2006 at 2pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center 211 Park Ave. SW with Rev. Todd W. Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Carpenter, Gary Simmons, Ed Wilde, Samuel Croft, Greg Flach and Neal Hay. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the time of the service. Mr. Hodges, 63, of Aiken died Saturday. A son of the late Zara Thamar and Tommie Lee Fail Hodges, he was born in Bulloch County, GA and lived in Aiken most of his life. He had been the owner of "Floors and Stuff" flooring business. An avid hunter, he was a proud member of the Edgefield Trophy Club. He enjoyed doing work with his tractor, but he loved being with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother; Jack Hodges and a son; Douglas Carlton Hodges, Jr. He is survived by two daughters; Robin Flach, Aiken and Denise Hodges, Columbia. A brother; Ralph Hodges, Aiken and a sister; Linda Lewis, Buckhead, GA. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Joshua Flach, Aiken, Olivia Flach, Aiken, Erica Flach, Aiken and Joseph Douglas Hodges, Columbia.
