A funeral liturgy, outside of Mass, for Mrs. Ann S. Volk will be held on Wednesday March 21, 2007 at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC with Rev. Marcin Zahuta officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6pm until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association. Mrs. Volk, 68, of Ridge Spring, SC died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. The daughter of the late William and Rose Patrick Schau, she was born in Erie, PA and had lived in Corry, PA before moving to Ridge Spring in 1983. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she worked as a unit clerk and scheduler at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Ann loved the outdoors and was fond of gardening and traveling, especially cruises with her husband. She is survived by her husband, M. Ronald Volk, Ridge Spring; three sons, Timothy Volk, Las Vegas, NV, Barry Volk, Highland, UT and Terry Volk, Aiken, SC; a daughter, Diane Taghon, Aiken, SC; a brother, William Schau, Erie, PA and a sister Kathleen Afronte, Sumter, SC. Mrs. Volk is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandson.
