Memorial services for Mrs. Valerie Carrigg Ferguson will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 2pm at Redds Branch Baptist Church. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 12pm until the hour of service at the church. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family. Mrs. Ferguson, 36, of Aiken, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009.
Born in Barnwell, SC, she was the daughter of David and Mary Williams Carrigg. Valerie moved to Aiken in 1991.She was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church, Aiken Jaycees, and the Natchez Indian Tribe. Valerie liked to sew, read, cross stitch, and make dresses for the Civil War reenactment.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Eric Ferguson, children, Jasmine Ferguson, Ashley Ferguson, Cristin Ferguson, Thompson Ferguson, Jr., all of Aiken, sisters, Elizabeth Hutson, Renae Ingram, Vicky Gleaton, Breanna Carrigg, brother, Ellis McCoy, father in law and his wife, Donnie and Dale Ferguson, mother in law, Lynn and her husband George Lancaster.
