Funeral Services for Mrs. Maudine Widener Reese will be held 11AM, Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at Darien Baptist Church, Oakwood, SC, with Rev. Robert Rish officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held tonight, Tuesday, August 5, 2003 from 6-8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be Tim Reese, Stewart Harrison, Jr., Robert Harrison, Johnny Hughes, Tommy Evans, and Jimmy Widener. Mrs. Maudine Widener Reese, 78, wife of Howard F. Reese, died Sunday, August 3, 2003 at Aiken Regional Centers. She was a life long resident of Aiken County, the daughter of the late Johnnie Allen and Larkie Sizemore Widener. She was also predeceased by her daughters; Jane R. Toole and Sarah Elizabeth Reese, brothers; JA Widener and Hezzie Widener, sisters; Dot Widener and Ollie Anderson. Mrs. Reese was a long time member of Darien Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Howard F. Reese, sons; Johnny Reese, Barnwell, SC, Dean Reese, Aiken, SC, daughters, Sybil Graham, North Augusta, SC, Carolina Evans, Montmorenci, SC, brother, Cliff Widener, Montmorenci, SC, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family wishes that memorials be made on memory to the Darien Baptist Church.
