AIKEN, SC- Memorial services for James Carlton Hendrix will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Aiken's First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Fred W. Andrea, III. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor. A private burial will be held at Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Aiken's First Baptist Church, PO Box 3157, Aiken, SC 29802. Mr. Hendrix, 95, of Aiken, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Born in Edgefield County, he was a son of the late Cecil and Hattie Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix was a long time employee of Coca-Cola, where he wore many hats. He was a longtime member of Aiken's First Baptist Church and the Cushman & Williamson Sunday School Class. Survivors include his loving wife of 72 years, Elizabeth Hendrix of Aiken; a son, Robert Carlton Hendrix; a granddaughter, Cynthia Cornista and 2 great-granddaughters, Angel and Jaiden Cornista, all of Atlanta.
