Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Ruth Madden Fowler will be held Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 9am at Millbrook Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, June 23, 2006 from 7-9pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken. Memorial contributions may be directed to Millbrook Baptist Church Bldg. Fund, 176 East Pine Log Road, Aiken, SC 29803. Mrs. Fowler, 83, of Aiken, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Mrs. Fowler was born in Hartwell, GA to the late Eugene Thornton and Effie Jones Madden. Mrs. Fowler was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, the Essie Osteen Sunday School Class, Eastern Star, and Ladies of the Nobles. Mrs. Fowler was an accomplished seamstress. Annie Ruth was a care giver for her late parents, late brother and sister in law. Annie Ruth was always a caregiver. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by her husband, Furman L. Fowler, Jr.; brother, Thomas Eugene Madden. Mrs. Fowler is survived by her daughter, Bunny Hutto; sons, Larry Fowler, Sr. and his wife Carole, Skip Fowler, all of Aiken; grandchildren, L. Furman Fowler, Jr., Ash Miller and his wife Risa, Paige Miller Tanenbaum and her husband Alan; great grandchildren, Matthew McCrosson, and Anna Madden McCrosson.
