My name is Doris, I met colonel some years ago threw a health care agency...eventually I became his private sitter...one thing I notice that we all have experience with colonel is his sence of humor when it came to his jokes or his war stories, which he always enjoyed telling. Colonel also had a soft side and a good heart sometimes he would try to hide :smiley:but we knew underneath he was a soft teddy bear! :bear:

I first met Bill before I was married to Ann's daughter. He always had a story or a joke to tell.
Even after the divorce he gave support which is more than I can say for others that were closer to me. It showed me the depth of his character and his compassion.
Ann, I am heartbroken by your loss.
I'm sure Bill is in a better place sharing stories and jokes with Robin Williams.
Rest in peace, Bill.
You will be missed.

I first met Bill in 2012. I was assigned as his guardian on an Honor Flight trip to Washington, DC. The trip is to honor American WWII veterans for all their sacrifices. The Colonel served in 3 major wars, so he certainly deserved a day of honor. We hit it off right away. He had a great sense of humor. He would tell jokes and then give that little boy sheepish smile that I will never forget. That was one of the very best days of my life. I'm glad we became friends. I am truly blessed and honored to have known him. Rest in peace my friend...
