Memorial services for Mrs. Betty Jane Moore will be private. Mrs. Moore, 79, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late Chauncey Aaron Moore, died Monday, night, September 23, 2003 at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living Community following an extended illness. Born in Washington Court House, OH, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Smith Adams, and had been a resident of Aiken, SC, for the past three years. She was a former Assistant Auditor having retired from County of Ventura, CA. Sons, Tabb Douglas Moore, Warrenville, SC and Thomas Ross Moore, Los Angeles, CA; sister, Florence Adams, Ventura, CA; and one grandson survive. The family has requested that memorials in memory of Mrs. Moore be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, P.O. Box 3156, Aiken, SC 29802 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Drawer K., Aiken, SC 29802.
