A Funeral Liturgy for Edward Lee Sims will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in your area. Mr. Sims, 66, of Aiken, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014. Born in Albuquerque, NM, he was a son of the late William and Hallie Mills Sims. Mr. Sims was a retired Electrical Test Technician and a US Army Veteran. A proud supporter of our men and women who have served. He loved spending time with his family, making home improvements and working on and restoring the cars he so enjoyed. Survivors include his loving wife, Joann Sims of Aiken; daughters, Jennifer Elliott (Colin) of Nielston, Scotland and Jillian Sims of Chicago, IL; sons, Jonathan Kelso (Shannon) of St. Augustine, Florida and William Sims and his Fiance (Alicia) of Aiken; a brother, William Riley Sims, Jr., (Jean Lee) of Lansing, NY and four granddaughters, Charlotte, Lyla, Molly and Bailey.
