Funeral services for Miss Marjorie M. Langford will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 2pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC with Rev. Mike Chandler officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. Interment will take place on Tuesday at 1:00pm at Ray City Baptist Church Cemetery, Ray City, GA. Miss Langford, 87, of Aiken, died Friday April 20, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A daughter of the late J.R. Langford, Sr. and Nancy Futch Langford, she was born in Berrien County, GA and moved to Edgefield in 1986 and then to Aiken two years ago. She was a 1938 graduate of Nashville, GA High Scool and then worked as a riveter at the Bell Aircraft Corp in Marietta, GA during WW II. She had been a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Atlanta and was also a well-known volunteer at an Atlanta area Mission. Miss Langford is survived by a brother, J. R. Langford, Jr., New Ellenton, SC and two sisters, Cleo Langford, New Ellenton, SC and Gladys Langford, Aiken, SC.
