Mr. Samuel Stacey, 72, husband of the late Sarah Cromer Stacey, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral Services will be held. 11AM, Friday, June 6, 2003 at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel with Rev. Roy Morgan officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 7-9 at the funeral home. The family will also be gathering at Mr. Stacey?s home, 403 Tennessee Ave., New Ellenton. Burial will be held at Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Stacey, Patrick Stacey, Beau Hill, Bruce Gracey, Chris Gracey, Jeff Gracey and Jonathan Gracey. Mr. Stacey was the born in Cliffside, NC to the late John Quincy and Douglas Stacey. He moved to New Ellenton in 1954 from Cliffside, NC. He was predeceased by his brother Wayne Stacey and sister Merle Gracey. Survivors include his son, Bruce and Kelly Burke Stacey, New Ellenton, daughter, Linda and David Hill, New Ellenton, SC, brothers, George Stacey, Davidson, NC, Ray Stacey, Cliffside, NC, sisters, Hazel Huskey and Polly Earls, both of Cliffside, NC, grandchildren, Robert Stacey and Patrick Stacey, both of Aiken, Samantha Hill and Beau Hill, both of New Ellenton and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes that memorials be made to Greenpond Baptist Church, c/o Building Fund, P.O. Box 91, Jackson, SC 29831.
