A memorial service for Lt. Col. William Warren Dean, Jr. US Army, retired will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 2pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev David Cozad officiating. Bill will be interred next to his wife and son in Adams, MN.
Col. Dean, 97, of Aiken, died Saturday, October 6, 2007 at his residence. A son of the late William W. and Lena Vega Dean, he was born in Adams, MN. He attended Carlton College, Adams, MN and then moved to Arizona, where he attended the University of Arizona. He entered the United States Army in 1942 and retired in 1963 as a Lt. Col. at Fort Gordon, EDCSA. He married his wife, Tessa on October 26, 1944 in Glasgow Scotland.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife, Tessa and his son, Michael.
Bill is survived by several friends and neighbors.
