While I did not know Charles, I do know that as a member of the Canal Zone's law enforcement family, he surely must have been an honoralbe man, as well as part of a unique era in American history that few of us can claim. Thank you for allowing me to salute him here.

As you well know, I share your sadness...can't help but thinking, though that there is one HUGE Canal Zone Ping-ding going on with the neighborhood! Your Dad was always aware of where Carol and I were "getting into trouble" in Coco Solo in the old abandoned buildings! I still remember him stopping us ever so often to ask "Does your Mother know what you are doing?" That usually stopped us cold!
My prayers are with you and yours...I know you were a good and loving daughter. He is at peace...
Having lived next door to Virginia And Butch Machak for many years,I enjoyed many conversations with Mr. Green. He was a friendly, caring and intelligent man, rich in life's experiences. He will be sorely missed by his family and his many friends.

I remember Charlie from my days as a young boy back in the 50s in Magarita, Canal Zone. Charlie and my father, Floyd Robinson, worked together on the police force and were very good friends. My Dad always thought and talked very highly of Charlie and I liked him as well. Both Charlie and our family lived on the same street in Margarita. Loss of one's father is never easy and all the family have my hearfelt condolences on Charlie's passing. May Charlie rest in his peace.
