A Funeral Liturgy for Mrs. Claire O'Connor will be celebrated by Fr. Jeffrey Kirby on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 10:00am at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken. Interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, PA. Memorial donations may be directed to Regency Hospice 105 Summerwood Way Suite D, Aiken, SC 29803. There will be no calling hours at the George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC. Mrs. O'Connor, 89, of Aiken, died Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Eden Gardens Care Center in Aiken. A daughter of the late William and Mary Nanns Feeney, she was born in Charleroi, PA and had lived most of her life in the Pittsburgh area before moving to Aiken in 2003. She had been a communicant of Resurrection Catholic Church, Brookline, PA where she was also a member of the Christian Mothers Group and currently at St. Mary Help of Christians Parrish, Aiken. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph, Sr. 1994 and a son, Joseph, Jr. 1966. Mrs. O'Connor is survived by her daughter; Mary Paul Grefenstette, Aiken and seven grandchildren; Erin Mark Henninger, Denver, CO, Paul Natalie Grefenstette, Chicago, IL. Kelly Charles Warren, Greenville, SC, Kristen Stanford Garnett, Charlotte, NC, Lauren Grefenstette, Aiken, Michael Grefenstette, Aiken and Ryan Grefenstette, Aiken. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
