Funeral services for Robert Lee Ogden, Sr., 87, of New Ellenton, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. Officiating will be Pastor Danny Wilson. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Ogden, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. Born in Clarksburg, W. Virginia, he was a son of the late Walter U. Ogden and Christine Ribero McCLain, and the grandson of Costanza Ribero. Mr. Ogden was a US Navy Veteran and retired from DuPont as an electrician. He was an avid golfer, a head score keeper at the Masters, a game official for High School and recreation sports throughout the state for 30 plus years. He was a Gamecock Club Member since 1979 and was a car enthusiast. Mr. Ogden was preceded in death by cousins, John Migliore, Mike Migliore and Mary Dory. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Hall Ogden of New Ellenton; daughters, Jan Ogden of Bonneau and Judy Rumley (Jessie) of Aiken; sons, Robert Lee Ogden, Jr.(Cindy) and Walter Michael Ogden, all of New Ellenton; grandchildren, Stephanie Butler Scott, Jessica Butler Hill, Jennifer Ogden Stewart, Austin Caudill, and great-grandchildren, Bryce Butler, Wesley Scott, Tanner Hill, Bentley Stewart and Maggie Stewart.
