Warrenville---Rev. Lynwood C. Williams, 64 of Warrenville, SC, husband of Mrs. Ida Williams, died Thursday, April 4, 2002 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Saturday, April 6, 2002 at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, with the Reverend Dr. Eddie Leppard and Reverend Roy Newman officiating. Pallbearers will be Wallace Rabon, Jim Staton, Bob Hennings, Eugene Barron, William Danforth, and Douglas Summers. Burial will be held at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Rev. Williams was the son of the late Johnny Williams and Ruth Glascock Jennings. He was a native of Crowville, LA, served his country in the US Air Force for six years, moved to Aiken in 1958 from Louisiana, and retired form Owens-Corning after 34 years of service. He was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, and was a Chaplain in prison ministry for four years in Lynchburg, VA, and also at the Aiken Co. Detention Center fir two years. Survivors include his wife; sons, Robert Lynn Williams, New Ellenton, SC and James Carl Williams, Charlotte, NC; three daughters, Darlene Patricia Rabon, Paula Ann Hennings and Lisa Ann Staton all of Aiken; two brothers, Tommy Jennings, MS and Alvin Jennings, NY; two sisters, Shirley Collins, Hatiesburg, MS, and Maria Felps, St. Petersburg, FL; and nine Grandchildren.
