Funeral services for Mr. Marvin A. Jackson will be held on Tuesday December 12, 2006 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Revs. Charles Wilson, Jeff Taylor and Lonnie Evans officiating. Interment will follow at New Beginnings Cemetery, Aiken. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Aiken Congregational Holiness Church 1611 Park Ave. SE Aiken, SC 29801. Mr. Jackson, 84, of Aiken, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A son of the late Mahlon and Ivy H. Jackson, he was a lifelong resident of Aiken. He retired in 1984 after working thirty years as a supply clerk at The Granite Division of the Graniteville Company. He had previously worked for E. I. DuPont at the Savannah River Site. He served as a former deacon and usher at Aiken Congregational Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife, Alice Hawkins Jackson, Aiken, a son, Glenn Jackson and his wife Barbara, Aiken, a daughter; Margie Moore and her husband Walter, Knoxville, TN a sister; Lois Howard and her husband Paul, Aiken. Mr. Jackson is also survived by three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
