Obituary of Margaret Chapman Reed

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Chapman Reed will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 1pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev Gary Youell officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Rick Meyer, Dana Mosley, Jerry Sheets, Don Cooper, Luke Allison and Eddie Bradley. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to Montmorenci First Baptist Church, 44 Old Barnwell Rd. Montmorenci, SC 29839. Mrs. Reed, 82, of Jackson, died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. A daughter of the late Henderson and Juanita Cushman Chapman, she was born in Windsor, SC and had lived throughout the world with her husband, the late Colonel John A. Reed, USAF, ret., who died in 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Montmorenci First Baptist Church where she had been active in the senior citizens group. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by a son, Dennis Lamar Reed, Aiken; a daughter, Janet Reed Ingram and her husband, James Arthur Ingram, Jackson, four grandchildren, Karen and Ted Corontzes, Brooke Ingram, Brandi Ingram and Iva-Cierra Keith Reed; and two great grandchildren, Ella Elizabeth Corontzes and Theodore Seth Corontzes.
