A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Pearl Hendrix Keller will be celebrated on Thursday March 22, 2007 at 12 noon at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Aiken. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Mary Help of Christians Church Building Fund PO Box 438 Aiken, SC 29802. Mrs. Keller, 99, of Aiken, died March 19, 2007 at Eden Gardens, Aiken. A daughter of the late Ollie Fred and Carrie "Addy" Harmon Hendrix, she was born in Lexington, SC and had lived in Franklyn Square, Long Island, NY before moving to Aiken in 1970. She was a graduate of the SC Baptist Nursing School in Columbia, SC and went on to be the director of nursing at numerous hospitals on Long Island, retiring from the Holly Patterson Hospital in Nassau County. Mrs. Keller was a communicant at St. Mary's Help of Christians Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary of Council #3684, where her late husband, Lt. Col. Joseph M. Keller, USAF, ret was a Past Grand Knight. She also had been a volunteer "Pink Lady" at Aiken Regional Medical Centers and was a member of the American Nurses Association, Catholic Nurses Association and the Franklin Square Women's Club. She was also a past-president of the Franklin Square Warriors Midget Football Club Women's Auxiliary. In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by three brothers, Clinton Hendrix, Sr., Hilton Hendrix and Clyde Hendrix. She is survived by her son, Fred Keller and his wife Barbara , Hudson, FL, four granddaughters, five great, grandchildren and one great, great, grandson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
