Dear Sandy:
How sad to learn of Jan's passing. Yet, I think of him and smile because of the pleasant memories. He was always ready for a hand of bridge over lunch even on the busiest of days at ISA. He showed me how to enjoy the game and never let-on that I had a long way to go to play a challenging hand....He was equally helpful with home-improvement information, which proved invaluble to me. It was a pleasure to know him and learn from him. I know you and your family will miss Jan terribly, Sandy, and trust that your wonderful memories will sustain you.
Peace and blessings,
Laura

Dear Sandy,
Jan was a great man and great person. I never met a person that was so passionate about his work while being such a great leader to the people around him. Jan was a gentle giant and I'm glad I was able to have shared part of my life with him. I will never forget him. Go KU.

Dear Sandy:
I enjoyed working with Jan and learning from him. He was a wonderful person and a great golfer. I always enjoyed playing in the ISA golf tournaments with him. He was so patient with those beginner golfers that we would put on his team. Joe also enjoyed playing golf with Jan on several occasions and getting to know him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Sandy and family,
I have wonderful memories of working with Jan at ISA for many years. He was a patient mentor to many of us, a wise counselor, and a trusted friend. His love for his family was evident and was one of the things that made him so special. I grieve with you over his departure and pray for peace and comfort for you and the family.
