Obituary of Carol A. Ennis
AIKEN, SC – Carol A. Ennis, age 79, entered into rest peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2018.
Carol was born April 25, 1939 in Queens Village, NY to the late William Martin Moclair and the late Grace McGeever Moclair. She worked as a Media Aide at The Sherman School in Sherman, CT and as a Library Aide from the New Milford Connecticut Public Library. Carol had made Aiken, SC (Kalmia Landing) her home for the past twenty-two years and was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading and daily walks.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Moclair; and a brother, William Martin Moclair III.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert L. Ennis; two sons, Robert L. Ennis Jr., Davenport, FL and Brian J. Ennis (Andrea), Methuen, Mass.; a granddaughter, Thalia Ennis; a brother, Michael Moclair; a sister-in-law, Vilma Moclair; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the old historic St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Park Ave., with The Very Rev. Father Gregory Wilson as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Shadow Oaks Assisted Living, Pepper Hill Nursing, Aiken Regional Medical Center, and Regency Hospice for the excellent care shown to Mrs. Ennis.
