Mrs. Nancy Ingram Covington, 73, of Aiken, died Sunday May 30, 2004 at Eden Gardens Care Center in Aiken. Private funeral services are under the direction of George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10006 or the American Diabetes Foundation, PO Box 2680 North Canton, OH 44720. A daughter of the late Rev. Jesse L. and Mabel L. Jones Ingram, she was born in Thomasville, NC. She just recently came to Aiken, having moved from West Columbia where she had lived for a year with her daughter. Prior to the death of her second husband, she had lived in North Myrtle Beach for almost 20 years. She was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in North Myrtle Beach, SC and St. John United Methodist Church, Graniteville, SC. Mrs. Covington was pre-deceased by two husbands: Rev. Richard S. Covington, Sr, who died in 1987 and Gordon Nicholson, who died in 2003. She is survived by a son; Dr. Richard S. Covington, Jr., North Myrtle Beach, SC, two daughters; Nan C. Moorer, Aiken, SC and Laura C. Neal, West Columbia, SC, a sister, Sylvia L. Eagle, Charlotte, NC and five grandchildren; Zachary R. Moorer, Brian M. Neal, Joseph R. Neal, Dylan R. Covington and Maylee S. Covington.
