Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Sanford Moseley Jones Floyd will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Redds Branch Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Rev. Mark Watford and Rev. Dr. Henry Chennault officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Floyd, 82, of Aiken, SC, affectionately known as ?Bea?, died Friday, evening, July 1, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Home where for the past three years she had happily resided. Born in Orangeburg County, SC, a daughter of the late Stanley Sawyer and Lucia Olivia Phillips Sanford, who both died within weeks of one another when Bea was a young girl, she was raised by Andrew and Susie Moseley. Bea retried after thirty-five years of service from Southern Bell where she was an Operator. She was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday Sunday School Class. Bea was a kind and caring person who loved her family. The last three years were very tough on Bea but she never complained when she was taking dialysis almost daily. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Virginia S. Gunter, Top Bruce Snipes, Rita Bernie Snipes, Betty and Jack Snipes. Jan Husbands, Willie Gray Jones, William Clemson Jones, and Willie A. Floyd and sisters, Adelle Sanford Snipes, Nina Sanford Miller, and Mary Sanford Poole preceded her in death.
