Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Maralyn P. Flanagan will be celebrated Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 10 AM at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken, SC. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends Friday, June 4, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Flanagan, 80, of Colleyville, TX and a former resident of Aiken, SC, wife of the late Lt. Col. John E. Flanagan, United States Air Force Retired, died Monday, night, May 31, 2004. Born in Hopewell, OH, a daughter of the late Ernest and Edith Spratt Poland, Maralyn had been a resident of Aiken, SC for thirty-five years where she retired from Security Federal Bank as an Accounts Manager and had also been a Secretary at St. Angela Academy, prior to relocating to Colleyville, TX, in 1998. She was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Children: Michael J. Flanagan and his wife, Doris, St. Petersburg, FL; Kathleen F. Lehrmann and her husband, Larry, Colleyville, TX; Patrick E. Flanagan and his wife, Susan, Crownsville, MD; and Eileen E. Flanagan and her daughter, Shannon K. Flanagan Maralyn?s granddaughter, Colleyville, TX, and nephews, Gale Poland, Zanesville, OH, Lowell Poland, Columbus, OH, and Richard Poland, Hopewell, OH, survive.
