Memorial services for Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Merriett will be held Monday March 17 2008 , 4:00 pm at George Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken. In lieu of flowers the family request Memorial contributions be directed to Research at the American Heart Association 520 Gervais Street Suite 300 Columbia, SC 29201 or to Research at St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tn. 38105. Cheryl Lynn Merriett, 50, of Wagener, died Friday March 14, 2008 at the Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Bridgeport Alabama , she was the daughter of Gene Rollins of Cleveland NC and Marquette J. Stoneking Rollins of New Ellenton, SC. She graduated from the St. Angelas School in Aiken and in 1975 married Stephen Merriett. She had worked as a baker at the Wynn Dixie and later for the Publix Super Markets in Aiken for many years. Her life and love focused on her husband , her family and her nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and a housewife. In addition to her parents and her husband she is survived by two sisters; Kay Kirkbride, New Ellenton SC, and Brenda Eddie Williams , Myrtle Beach SC. One brother; Dewitt Andrea Rollins , Aiken SC. , Seven Nieces, Six nephews, two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
