Funeral services for Mr. William "Bill" Marion Jackson, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 3pm at Aiken's First Baptist Church with Dr. Rev. Fred Andrea officiating. Interment will follow in Montmorenci Baptist Church Cemetery. The pallbearers will be, Cameron Woodward, Hunter Woodward, Alex Jackson, Pat Cunning, Heze Kneece, Mickey Anaclerio, honorary pallbearers will be, Gary Blessing, Dale Blessing, Ron Blessing, Willis Herndon, Danny Redd, Charles Cupp, Chuck Cupp, Robert Cook, Richard Cook, Frazier Sofgee, Charlie Timmerman, Joseph Kneece, Eugene Kneece, Pete Sampson, Mike Anaclerio, Stephen Anaclario, John Cunning, Miles Loadholt, Henderson Johnson, Arlis Dawsey, Lin Peeples, Michael Farmer, William Sibley, George Gregory, Mike Blanchard, The Employees of Jackson Transfer and Storage.. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken. Memorial contributions may be directed to Aiken's First Baptist Church, 120 Chesterfield St, Aiken, SC, 29801 or the charity of your choice. Mr. Jackson, 75, of Aiken, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at his residence. A life long resident of Aiken, he was born to the late William Marion and Gladys Redd Jackson, Sr.. He served his country in the Air Force and was a member of Aiken's First Baptist Church, Peeples Deer Club, American Legion. He was a volunteer firefighter for thirty two years with the city of Aiken and was the owner of Jackson Transfer and Storage as an agent for North American Van Lines for fifty nine years. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Barbara Blessing Jackson, son William Marion "Traye" Jackson, III and his wife Dottie, Aiken, daughters, Julia Elizabeth "Beth" Jackson, Aiken, Kathryn Jackson Woodward and her husband Joey, Aiken, grandchildren, Caitlin Grace Jackson, William Alexander Jackson, Walter Hunter Woodward, Marion Cameron Woodward, and numerous cousins.
