Memorial services for Mr. Frank Jay Moore will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 2pm at First Baptist Church of Williston. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8pm at the church office commons area. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken is assisting the family. Mr. Moore, 77, of Williston, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Laurel Bay Health Care, Williston. Born in Walhalla, SC, he was the son of the late Isaac and Effie Smith Moore. He lived in various cities before moving to Williston in 1997. He owned Frank's Barber Shop for seventeen years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Williston. He received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of South Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Lenieve Sheppard, and brother, Jack Moore. He is survived by his wife of thirty three years, Linda Widener Moore, son Jerry Rachel McDonald, Tignall, GA, sisters, Ada Moore, Detroit, MI, Ruby Ott, Abbeville, SC, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
