AIKEN, SC – Charles Eugene Ward Sr., age 90, entered into rest May 7, 2022.

Mr. Ward was born June 7, 1931 in Clarksburg, WV to the late John and Luverne Ward. He was a carpenter superintendent by trade. He loved to ride his motorcycle and enjoyed being on the go, traveling and visiting with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Ward; his son, Eugene Ward; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Martin (Ed); two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Haley Crossland and Melissa Morris; two sisters, Margaret Buck and Madelene Hayton; two brothers, Larry Ward and Joe Ward (Connie).

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at George Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in The George Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
