AIKEN, SC – James L. Brittain, 75, of Warrenton, MO, passed away on April 12, 2022.
Jim was born January 19, 1947, in New Madrid, MO. The son of Jessie H. Brittain and Edna (Dye) Brittain.
Jim was a loving, caring man with a big heart. He was a selfless man. Jim loved his family and most of all he enjoyed being together at any occasion - especially the family reunions. In his younger years, Jim enjoyed racing his ’55 Chevy, fishing, and loved fish fry’s. Jim was a long-time truck driver. He will forever be known as the favorite uncle, undisputed champ of the Walmart Knockout.
He was preceded in death by his long-time love and girlfriend, Meme; his parents, Jessie & Edna; three sisters, Lenora Pinkley, Ruth “Winnie” Frey, Mildred “Midge” Dorman; two brothers, Don Brittain & Kenny Bittain; two sisters-in-law, Judy Brittain & Norma Brittain; and a brother-in-law, Alvin Dorman.
Survivors include his two kids, Kenny Brittain (Crystal Lynn) of Aiken, SC & Cheryl Tuttle (Jeremy Hoover) of Flint, MI; four brothers, Gene Brittain, Eddie Brittain, Billy Brittain, Joey Brittain; five grandchildren, Tyler Brewer, Trent Tuttle, Tanner Tuttle, Andrew Lynn, Shyanne Brittain; step-grandchildren, Alyssa, Steven, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Piper, Reese, Hollis, Brantley (Littleman), and Ellison; & several nieces, nephews. Jim was very close to his nephew, Tommy & wife Dayna, and his niece, Cheryl & Daren Shortt.
