MYRTLE BEACH: Johnnie Lee Huff, 82, widower of Thelma Boyd Huff, passed away January 14, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Born August 14, 1939 in Aiken County, he was the son of the late John Samuel Huff and Carrie Ann Barton Huff.
Johnnie was born in Aiken County and lived here until his wife passed away in 2007. He worked for and later retired from Graniteville Company for over 35 years. He moved to Myrtle Beach in 2017 to live with his daughter where he attended Lakewood Ministry Church.
He loved to fish. There was nothing more he loved to do then stand on the banks and wait for a bite!
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 34 years; and his son, Robby Haywood.
Johnnie will be loving remembered by his daughter, Pamn Carpenter (Ronn), Myrtle Beach; his granddaughters, Jessica Young (Eric), Sandi Feagin (Gregg) and Dani Roberson (Mitch); his great-grandchildren, Haleigh Young, Hana Scott, Brittany Seigler, Amaya Weaver, and Brodi Roberson; his step-great-grandchildren, Cameron Feagin, Mackenzie Feagin, and Tyler Feagin,; his 5 great-great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Mildred Taylor (William), Minnie Pearl Salters, Annie Mae Kissiah (Billy) and James Huff ( Sarah).
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 1:00-2:00PM at The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken, SC 29801.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 3PM at Chime Bell Church Cemetery with Pastor Ronald Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be Dillion Seigler, Cameron Paradise, Richard Feagin, Travis Scott, James Claude Cumbee and Danny Zielinksi. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Busbee, Trey Weaver, John Davis and George Hook.
