Obituary of John Martin Leitch

Columbia, SC: Mr. John Martin Leitch, fondly known as Buff, 77, of Columbia, SC, husband of Mary Ergle Leitch, passed away November 11, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

 

Born August 11, 1944 in Richmond, Virginia, he was the only son born to the late Alfred Leitch and Madolin Leitch.

 

Buff attended St Angela Academy and later attended Clemson University.  He retired from Richland County EMS as a Paramedic.  He was a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. He had a love for the outdoors, animals of all kinds, old cars, online gaming and getting to know people all over the world.

 

His is lovingly remembered by wife of 43 years; his children, Andrew Leitch (Molly Gallery), Amanda Leitch; Ashleigh Flowe (Donnie), and Bryan Leitch (Amber); his grandchildren, Madolin, Jaxon, Mary, Bryan, Lucy, Morgan, Maddox and Mason; and his step-sister, Mary Jo Ferriter (Dick).

 

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 2:00PM in Calvary Cemetery, Aiken, SC with Rev. Scott Ayers officiating.

 

Memorials may be made in Mr. Buff’s memory to the charity of your choice.
