Obituary of Marie Lillian Rollins Heath
Marie L. Rollins Heath, (October 28, 1936 – October 17, 2021), a lifelong resident of Aiken County, entered into rest at her home on October 17, 2021; She is survived by the love of her life, her beloved husband of Sixty-four years, Charles T. Heath; Also surviving are her sons, Scott Heath (Barbie), Craig Heath (Beverly); granddaughters, Caroline Heath and Chaney Heath; and a sister, Betty Busch.
Preceding her in death is her beloved son, Dr. Charles (Chuck) Heath, Jr.; her parents, Lillian Johnson Rollins and Arthur Rollins; and siblings, Corinna Golding, Ruth Cooper, Alvin Rollins and Celia Moore.
Marie worked alongside her husband, Charles, for years after they established their family business of Aiken Pest Control, Inc. which is now operated by their sons, Scott and Craig. While she was a totally devoted wife and mother, it has been said by her siblings she assumed the role of Matriarch after their mother passed away. She was always a huge influence in the lives of her family (which included numerous nieces and nephews); Her approach to life was direct and she never wavered in her faith; her perspective was God first, and the only way was the right way. Though her vehicle carried a tag reading "divided household" with a tiger paw on one side and a gamecock on the other, she was forever a die- hard Carolina fan. When she and her husband enjoyed good health, they took great pleasure in traveling with friends. Marie loved making people laugh and will be remembered for her dry wit and expert storytelling. If she ever heard of someone in need, she was quick to respond anonymously and known only when her acts of kindness were revealed by a recipient. Marie’s greatest contentment was knowing her family members were safe and all needs met.
Charles, Scott and Craig would like to say a special thank you to Yirlania, Janet, Abigail, Jen and Betty for their faithful commitment of care over these last months.
