Obituary of Mozelle B Flynt
Mrs. Mozelle B. Flynt, 90, widow of the late Richard G. Flynt, Sr., passed away peacefully at her home and was reunited with her Savior and beloved husband, on Sunday morning, October 3, 2021 following an extended illness.
Born in Winston-Salem, N.C. on April 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Walter B. & Hattie M. Cornish Bodenhamer, Sr. Mrs. Flynt was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and worked tirelessly in her home to ensure everything was in order. She was a faithful member of St. John United Methodist Church and was the oldest member of the Garden Markers Garden Club in Aiken. Mrs. Flynt is perhaps known however most as the best “Flower arranger and Bow maker” in town.
Surviving include her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn (Wil) Brisson of Hendersonville, N.C.; son and daughter-inlaw, Richard G. (Mary) Flynt, Jr. of Worchester, MA; a sister and brother-in-law, Deanna (Tommy) Williams of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack (Linda) Bodenhamer of Lewisville, NC; grandchildren, Brandon (Nicole) Flynt, Heath (Holly) Bradham, Lauren (Jeremy) Toole; and her 3 great grandchildren, Jeremiah Toole, Bryce Flynt & Tanner Flynt.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Flynt was pre-decceased by a sister, Frances Highfield and two brothers, Walter B. Bodenhamer, Jr. & Bob Bodemhamer.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2:00p.m. from the sanctuary of St. John United Methodist Church with Dr. Tim McClendon and Rev. Butch Blackwell officiating. A private family burial will take place on Thursday in Mount Gur Cemetery in Kernerville, N.C.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649.6234.
