Aiken, SC-A memorial service for Ms. Elizabeth ?Betty? Phillips will be held Monday, September 16, 2002 at 3 PM at First Presbyterian Church, Aiken, SC, Rev. Dr. David Cozad and Rev. Martha M. Ebel officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. Ms. Phillips, 77, of Aiken, SC, died Friday, afternoon, September 13, 2002 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Muskegon, MI, a daughter of the late Horace A. Phillips and the late Dorothy Bixby Phillips, she had lived in Aiken, SC, since 1996, where she was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church. Prior to coming to Aiken, SC, she lived in Buffalo, NY, for thirty-five years and was a Violist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra for thirty-two years. A brother, Clayton Phillips and his wife, Rosemary, Aiken, SC, and nieces, Gwen Suthann, Julie Zagha, Cynthia Phillips, and Sheila Phillips, survive. At the request of please make memorials to the Music Ministry Fund of First Presbyterian Church, 224 Barnwell Ave., NW, Aiken, SC 29801 or St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 109 Interlachen Ct., Aiken, SC 29803.
