Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Woodson Featherstone will be held Thursday, December 12, 2002 at 3:00pm at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Toby Rowell officiating. Mr. Featherstone will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Carl McHargue, Chris McGee, Phillip Thomas, Brandyn Boatwright, Garrett McGee, Patrick Taylor and Howard Workman. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this afternoon Wed from 3-5pm at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken. Memorial donations may be directed to the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Fund 857 Mt. Beulah Rd. Windsor, SC 29856. Mr. Featherstone, 77, of Williston, died Tuesday, December 10th at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. The son of the late Richard H. and Sadie Curry Featherstone, he was born in Edgemoor, SC and had lived in Ft. Lawn, SC before moving to Williston in 1966. He was a veteran of World War II and served as a flight engineer in the Army Air Corps in England aboard the Lady Grace. He was a member and Deacon at Mt. Beaulah Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Doris Hunter Featherstone, a son; William ?Billy? and Gayle Featherstone, Aiken, four daughters; Diane and Carliss McHargue, Aiken, Sybil and Glen Thomas, Aiken, Barbara and Don McGee, Aiken and Brenda and Neal Boatwright, Williston, a brother; Richard Featherstone, Ft. Lawn, SC and a sister; Agnes and Ken Corley, Chapin, SC. Mr. Featherstone is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
