Funeral services for Mrs. V. Ruth Elliott will be held Thursday, December 26, 2002 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC, with David J. ?Jerry? Elliott, son of Mrs. Elliott, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Elliott, 91, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late George B. Elliott, died Sunday, afternoon, December 22, 2002. Born in Altoona, PA, a daughter of the late David Roudabush and the late Martha Pearl Warsing Roudabush, she was a graduate of Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH, and was a Christian. Mrs. Elliott had been a resident of Aiken, SC, since 1987, where she formerly did volunteer work at Kalmia Landing. A daughter, Nancy Ruth Elliott, Aiken, SC; son, David J. ?Jerry? Elliott, Evans, GA; a granddaughter, Joanna Ruth Gross, and great-granddaughters, Crissie Ruth Gross, Mariah Elliott Gross, and Jenna Elizabeth Gross, survive Mrs. Elliott. The family has requested that memorials be made to Alzheimer?s Association, c/o Council on Aging, P.O. Drawer K., Aiken, SC 29802 or any organization for breast cancer research.
