A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Mary Jane Wander Krafnick will be celebrated by Fr. Gade Show Reddy on Saturday February 1, 2003 at 10:00am at St. Mary Help of Christians Church, Aiken. Interment will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be on Friday from 7-9pm with a Vigil service conducted at 7pm at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Memorial donations may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society 733 Third Ave. New York, NY 10017.
Mrs. Krafnick, 79, of Aiken, died Tuesday at Pepper Hill Nursing Home. Born in Melrose, MN, she was the daughter of the late Norbert J. & Martha Hartman Wander. She was a graduate of St. Cloud State Teacher?s College, St. Cloud, MN. She was a WW II veteran of the US Navy, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus Council #3684, Aiken, a member of the St. Cloud VFW Post #428 Ladies Auxiliary, a former communicant of St. Augustine Church, St. Cloud, MN and a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Church, Aiken.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Krafnick is pre-deceased by her brother,Robert Wander, whose wife Jeanette resides in MN.
She is survived by her husband, James Krafnick, Aiken three sons; Richard Seritta Krafnick, Petaluma, CA, Donald Julia Krafnick, Aiken, SC and Charles Elizabeth Krafnick, Stratford, CT; a daughter, Mary Beth Markus Bryant, Wellington, OH; two brothers, Richard Mary Lou Wander, Indio, CA and Wayne Ruth Wander, Brooklyn Park, MN; nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
