Funeral services for Mr. Wade C. Terry will be held Monday, December23, 2002 at 11 AM at Foreman Memorial Baptist Church, New Ellenton, SC, with Reverend Rick Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers for the service will be Dave Nowak, Dean Nowak, Phillip Dixon, Michael Dixon, Phillip Moore, and David Trotter. Members of Mr. Terrys Sunday school class as well as Curtis Johnson, will serve as . Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 22, 2002 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Wade, 81, of New Ellenton, SC, husband of Jean Kelly Terry, died Saturday, morning, December 21, 2002. Born in Siler City, NC, a son of the late Fred DeWitt Terry and Clara Terry, he had lived in New Ellenton, SC, since 1955, where he was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church. A United States Army Air Corps veteran, he proudly served his country during World War II. In 1985 he retired from E.I. DuPont after thirty-three years of service. He was a member of the Lions Club, and was formerly active in the Aiken County Republican Party. In addition to his wife, sons, Steve C. Terry, and his wife, Angela, Edgefield, SC and Michael T. Terry, and his wife, Sonya, New Ellenton, SC; and grandchildren, Lindsey, Ryan, Nicholas, David, Celeste, and Caroline Terry, survive. The family has requested that memorials be made to Foreman Memorial Baptist Church, 207 Smith Ave., New Ellenton, SC 29809.
