Funeral services for Mr. Edgar Heath will be held Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 2 PM at George Funeral Home, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Reverend John M. Bolin officiating. Interment will follow in Talatha Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Ricky Heath, Ronnie Heath, Randy Morgan, Ricky Morgan, Jake Heath, and Tommy Garvin, and are requested to assemble at the funeral home by 1:30 PM on Saturday. The family will receive friends today, Friday, November 15, 2002 from 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Heath, 84, of Clearwater, SC, died, Wednesday, afternoon, November 13, 2002 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, he was a son of the late Portman Heath and the late Addie Bledsoe Heath. Mr. Heath was a former Turbine Supervisor with Clearwater Finishing Plant and retired in 1984 after forty-three years of service. He attended Clearwater First Baptist Church. An outdoorsmen, Mr. Heath was an avid gardener, fisherman, and hunter. A daughter, Linda Sheets and her husband, Steve, Jonesboro, IN; special friend, Gladys Morgan, Bath, SC; brother, Robert Heath, Aiken, SC; sister, Myrtle Garvin, Aiken, SC; grandson, Eddie Sheets, and his wife, Erica, Markle, IN; four great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Dorothy Heath, Clearwater, SC; nieces, nephews, and his extended family, the Morgan?s survive Mr. Heath. The family has requested that memorials in memory of Mr. Heath be made to Clearwater First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 610, Clearwater, SC 29822.
