Funeral services for Mr. Wayne A. Williams will be held Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 2 PM at the Aiken Church of Christ, Aiken, SC, with Minister Mark Hudson officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Friday, February 21, 2003 from 6-8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mr. Williams, 52, of Aiken, SC, husband of Sharon Teague Williams, died suddenly, Tuesday, night, February 18, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Augusta, GA. Born in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Roy J.Williams and the late Norma Trivett Rash, he had been a resident of Elizabethton, TN, prior to coming to Aiken, SC, nineteen years ago, where be was a member of the Aiken Church of Christ. A former IronWorker, he had been employed by Erycson Construction, Augusta, GA. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his wife of twenty-four years, Sharon Teague Williams, daughters, Heatherly Williams, Knoxville, TN and Deborah Ann Ard, Graniteville, SC; sister, Diane Dugger, Elizabethton, TN; and a granddaughter, Brittany Ard, survive. At the request of the family, please make memorials in memory of Wayne to the ALS Association, 27001 Agoura Rd., Suite 150, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301.
