Mrs. Kern, 88, of Aiken, SC, wife Mr. John Kern, died, Friday, morning, January 31, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Navy Medical Corps. She had lived in Los Gatos, CA, for thirty-years, where she was a Beautician, before coming to Aiken, SC, in 1981. In addition to her husband of fifty-two years, John Kern, a sister, Phoebe Kamer, Long Island, NY survives.
